On the morning of April 21st, our executive vice president Li Yongsheng met with Dr. Michael McQuade, global senior vice president, chief technology officer, of United Technologies Corporation (UTC), U.S.A, and general manager Feng Jinzhang of UTC Research Center with other two representatives at Run Run Shaw Building.

Li Yongsheng briefed the general research that Tongji did in the field of green building, and encouraged our professors to cooperate with UTC in order to enhance our teaching and research level. Dr. McQuade introduced UTC’s cutting-edge research and development in construction energy efficiency and green building. The two sides also discussed about cooperation projects such as undergraduate intern center and united research center. Prof. Tan Hongwei, executive vice director of Green Building and New Energy Center, gave a report “Green Building and New Energy Research Center”. Professors, from College of Mechanical Engineering, College of Electronics and Information Engineering, and College of Material Science and Engineering, introduced their research projects in each college and expressed their cooperation expectation with UTC.
