On March 23, Dr. Riikka Heikinheimo, Executive Director of Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (TEKES), visited Tongji. Prof. Wu Zhiqiang, Assistant President met with her and TEKES Shanghai team.

Professor Wu focused on the social welfare, environmental sustainability as well as innovation in higher education, all which were reckoned as key points by TEKES. Dr. Heikinheimo proposed to develop agreement of cooperation on new research and sign the agreement with Tongji during Tongji on Tracks program in Finland in this May.
