Vice President Dong Qi attends the Sino-German Symposium for Higher Education Cooperation

On 16-18 March, the Sino-German Symposium for Higher Education Cooperation organized by Ministry of Education (MoE) and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and co-organized by Zhejiang University was held in Hangzhou. Prof. Dong Qi, the Vice President of Tongji University, and Li Ligui, Vice Director of CDHAW, attended the symposium.

Prof. Dong Qi made a speech under the title "Models of International Cooperation of Universities -Practices of Tongji University". The speech consisted of four aspects, namely, the current development of international cooperation in Tongji University, the cooperation with Germany, the strategic plan of internationalization of the university and the strategy of cooperation with Germany. His speech received positive responses among the participants.

The Symposium aimed to make an analysis on present Sino-German cooperation projects and to explore new cooperation channels . More than 60 representatives from MoE, China Scholarship Council (CSC), China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC), DAAD, the Department for Science and Technology of German Embassy in China, APS and nearly 30 Chinese and German universities attended the symposium.
