The Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council has recently announced the newly granted doctorial programs and master’s programs of first-class disciplines in 2010. According to the list of these programs, our university has 8 more doctorial programs and 13 more master’s programs. The eight doctorial programs of first-class disciplines are in Philosophy, Applied Economics, Law, Foreign Language and Literature, Geophysics, Biology, Clinical Medicine and Dentistry. The thirteen master’s programs of first-class disciplines are in Education, Physical Education, Chinese Language and Literature, Journalism and Communication, Art, Geophysics, Electronic Science and Technology, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Aerospace Science and Technology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pharmacy and Public Administration.

Until now, our university has 25 doctorial programs and 46 master’s programs of first-class disciplines; 28 doctorial degree programs and 52 master’s degree programs of first-class disciplines, authorized by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.
