Sino-Finnish Center of Tongji University, Aalto-Tongji Design Factory was reported by Magazine MONOC

The well-known magazine Monocle, whose headquarter is located in London, reported five featured schools and projects in the field of global education in the article named “Schools of Thought—Global” on Dec.2010 to Jan.2011 Journal. The five are----d.schools at Stanford (USA), Strelka Institute (Russia), Danish Design School (Danmark), Akiyama Mokko(Japan) and Aalto-Tongji Design Factory of Tongji(China).

The Sino-Finnish Center of Tongji University, Aalto-Tongji Design Factory has successfully attracted students from majors of Design, Management, Urban Planning and Telecommunications to build innovation workshops by cooperating with students from Aalto University of Finland, which can improve the innovation ability and team spirits. As is reported in the magazine article, ATDF has shared desktops with Finnish design instead of traditional desks; ATDF is able to communicate with Finland Design Factory all the time via video conference; ATDF is localized on design based on real life and mixed with science, technology, art, business. ATDF is a pioneering work and also the first case in China.
