The Official Opening and the First Advisory Board Meeting of Sino-Finnish Centre Held Successfully

On Nov. 2nd, the first Advisory Board Meeting of Sino-Finnish Centre, Tongji University, was held. Prof. Pei Gang, the President of Tongji University and the first Advisory Board members attended the meeting.

The Advisory Board Meeting began with a picture puzzle “the Overall View of 2010 World EXPO”. All board members assembled it and President Pei Gang, the Director of Sino-Finnish Centre showed the back of the picture puzzle – the graphic design of SFC plaque. During the 2 hours meeting, Lou Yongqi and Sotamaa, the Executive Vice Director of Sino-Finnish Centre reported the progress of Sino-Finnish Centre and its first phase – Aalto-Tongji Design Factory since the end of May in 2010, as well as the strategy, the activity plan, the space plan and the finance plan in 2011.

Sino-Finnish Centre is co-founded by Tongji University and Aalto University. It aims at integrating the top innovative talents and ideas of the two nations, enhance the level of internationalization and impact, and building an important hub and engine for innovation.
