On October 18th, Prof. Zhou Jialun, the Chairman of University Council, met delegation of the Friends Union of Tongji University led by Prof. Chairman Portz. Prof. Zhou expressed his gratitude for the long-term support from the Union to the development of Tongji University, and hoped that the Union would play a leading role in international cooperation of Tongji in the future.

In the evening, the Friends Union of Tongji University held the 30th anniversary ceremony. Mr. Blankenburg, Secretary General of the Friends Union of Tongji University, welcomed all guests and made a brief introduction of the 30 years’ history of the Union. Prof. Wu Jiang and Prof. Dong Qi, both Vice President of Tongji University, Gao Tingyao, the former President and over 60 Union scholarship winners attended the ceremony.
