On the afternoon of October 13th, Mr. Alemmano, mayor and congressman of Rome, the capital of Italy, and a group of delegation visited Tongji University. President Pei Gang met with the delegation, accompanied by Vice-president Chen Xiaolong, president assistant Wu Zhiqiang and relevant personnel from Foreign Affairs Office, School of Political Science & International Relations, School of Design and Creativity, and Sino-Italian College.

President Pei Gang welcomed Mr. Alemmano and the delegation, and introduced various cooperation programmes with Italy, especially the “International Design Center – Italian Design City” project, and hoped to cooperate with Rome in this field.

Mr. Alemmano and the delegation visited the exhibition “Quest Industrial Design Kingdom---Italian Creativity and Patent Protection” at the 1st floor hall of Comprehensive Building on Siping Campus. Prof. Wu Zhiqiang and Prof. De Santolis project report meeting was held later. Mayor Alemmano delivered a wonderful presentation for Tongji teachers and students.
