On the morning of 10th June, Sino-French Forum on Affordable Housing and Sustainable Cities was jointly held in Tongji by College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University and Paris-Belleville Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture.

Vice President Dong Qi and Mr. Bruno Lafont, Chairman and CEO of Lafarge attended the opening ceremony and delivered the speech. Invited speakers included Mr. Jacques Ferrier, Architect for the French Pavilion for the Shanghai World Expo 2010, Mr. Zhao Luxing, Director of Real Estate Department, State Politics Research Office, PRC Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Mr. Jean-Louis Violeau, French Famous Sociologist.

In the afternoon, the five sub-forums were held, covering Urban Morphology, Urban Policies, Durability: the benefits of rehabilitation, Living together: social and diversity as well as Typology and constructive systems.
