On the afternoon of April 13, Prof. Zhou Jialun, chairman of Tongji University Council, met with Prof. Hesselbach, president of Technische Universität Braunschweig, and other 5 delegates. Vice president Dong Qi and representatives from Auto College, New Energy Auto Engineering Center, and Institute of Railway & Urban Rail Transit attended the meeting.
During the meeting, both sides treasured their 25-year deep friendship between Tongji University and Braunschweig TU, and looked forward to the next 25- year cooperation. They signed letter of intent for cooperation of applying for building Sino-German PhD institute of big machine (auto, railway, aviation) specialty together. Prof. Zhou Jialun appreciated Prof. Hesselbach for being 10-year visiting professor in Sino-German College.
Previously, the delegation visited Institute of Railway & Urban Trail Transit, School of Transportation Engineering, Auto College, School of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics, and exchanged professional ideas with professors from these colleges.
