On Dec 28th, presided by Chainman Chen Yiyi（vice president of Tongji Univeristy）, the First New Year Celebration of the Association of Tongji Returned Scholars from Japan was held at Magnolia Hotel. Vice President Dong Qi and officials from related colleges and administrative departments attended the meeting. The association members included both senior professors and young scholars who had Japanese experience. They exchanged their research interests and expressed the idea of realizing mutual development through inter-disciplinary cooperation.

Founded in April of 2009, the Association of Tongji Returned Scholars from Japan has around 70 members, most of whom have Doctoral Degrees.
