On 20th November, a delegation led by Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, Minister of Innovation, Science, Research and Technology of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia visited Tongji. Prof. Zhou Jialun, Chairman of University Council and Prof. Dong Qi, Vice President met the delegation and introduced the long-term cooperation between Tongji and universities from North Rhine-Westphalia. Minister Pinkwart thanked Tongji for its hospitality and hoped the two sides carry out closer cooperation.

After that, relevant faculty members introduced the delegation to CDHK, the sustainable campus project, Tongji’s participation in Expo 2010 and the Electric Automobile Project during which Minister Pinkwart had a test drive.
