On Nov. 11th, 2009, Tongji Siemens R&D Cooperation Day, Siemens CKI Workshop, 2009 opened in Tongji University Siping Campus. The participant includes Prof. Lu Minxun, Vice President of Tongji University, Mr. Peter Herweck, Executive Vice President and President Industry Sector of Siemens Ltd., China / President Industry Sector of Siemens North East Asia, together with other high-ranking official and guests attended the workshop.

On April 17th, 2008 Siemens and Tongji University jointly held a Siemens Day. To enhance the cooperation between Siemens and Tongji University, to help experts of Siemens and professors of Tongji University find the common interest of research work, Siemens Technology Office of University and Research Cooperation (CT O UNI) and Tongji Siemens Center of Knowledge Interchange jointly organized the meeting.
