On 10th November 2009, Vice President Chen Xiaolong attended the opening ceremony of the Second Sino-French Forum on the Sustainable Development of the Transport System and delivered a welcome speech. Other distinguished guests attending include Mr. Thierry Mathou, Consul General of France in Shanghai, Mr. Philippe Cardaec, Director of ParisTech in China and Mr. Marc Guigon, Representative of Sino-French Urban Agreement of Sustainable Development.

Centered on the theme of “Construction of high quality transportation system in low-carbon cities”, this forum specialized in subjects like urban transport policy, public transport priority, vehicle and future infrastructures and information technology and transport system.
