On the afternoon of September 22nd, a promotion conference of Shanghai International Design Center-Italian Design Creation Mall project was held by Tongji University. Nearly 30 Italian enterprises and organizations in Shanghai attended the activity.

Wu Zhiqiang, the University Assistant Principal and Dean of Tongji College of Design and Innovation introduced the Shanghai International Design Center project to the guests, especially the key project-Italian Design Creation Mall. Italian Design Creation Mall was one of the most characteristic projects of Shanghai International Design Center. By means of cooperation in the design field with the Italian side, an Italian designing commercial district integrated functions of culture, design and business would be built, and in which a series of activities such as design book bar, cultural square, designers’ salon and design culture shopping festival would be held regularly. Featured by Italian-flavored style, the Italian Design Creation Mall was composed of several half indoor spaces, including Italian designers’ studios, design corporations, design product and experience stores, design galleries (for exhibition, design houses and release conference, etc.) and recreation rooms.
