On September 22nd, Dr. Xu Dimin, President of Japan Asia Friendship Association and Japan’s chief representative of 2010 Shanghai World Expo Overseas Promotion Office visited Tongji University. Prof. Cai Jianguo, head of Tongji Asia-Pacific ResearchCenterandDean of Tongji International Cultural Exchange College, Prof. Sun Yixue, Subdean of Tongji International Cultural Exchange College met with the guest. The two sides exchanged ideas about overseas spreading of Chinese culture, the development of Confucius Institute in Japan, the foreign students’ opportunities to study in China brought by Shanghai World Expo.
Before the meeting, on behalf of Tongji Asia-Pacific ResearchCenterand Tongji International Cultural Exchange College respectively, Prof. Cai and Prof. Sun awarded appointment letters to Dr. Xu Dimin as part-time researcher of Tongji Asia-Pacific ResearchCenterand special researcher of Overseas Sinology Research Center, Tongji International Cultural Exchange College.
