The Klaus Toepfer Environmental Scholarship named after Prof. Klaus Toepfer—former U.N. Undersecretary General, former Executive Director of United Nations Environment Programs (UNEP) and chair professor of Tongji Environment and Sustainable Development Institute, was founded in China. On the morning of May 20th, the Klaus Toepfer Environmental Scholarship was awarded in Tongji Environmental Engineering College for the first time. 10 outstand undergraduate students majoring in environmental engineering from 10 China’s universities won the scholarship, one of which was Ma Jinxing in Tingji University. This scholarship was set towards university students majoring in environmental engineering.
