On May 15th, the University President Pei Gang met President Eichler of Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETHZ) and his delegation. He expressed warm welcome to the guests and introduced the general disciplinary development of Tongji University. Pei hoped to accelerate the establishment of cooperative partnership with ETHZ so as to promote students’ exchange and cooperation on scientific research between the two sides. Prof. Liu Fuqiang, Assistant Dean of Telecommunication College, Prof. Wang Guangbi, Assistant Dean of College of Economics and Management, Prof. Cao Zhiwei, Assistant Dean of College of Life Sciences introduced the situations of their colleges to the guests respectively, especially the achievements Tongji had obtained in international exchange and double degree programs. Prof. Li Zhenyu, Director of Foreign Affairs Office introduced the platform development of English courses in Tongji hoping to attract more students from ETHZ to study in our university.
