On April 28th, the University Vice-President Chen Xiaolong met the Stile Bertone delegation. Chen expressed welcome to the guests and introduced the developments and achievements Tongji had obtained in the field of ground transportation vehicles design, especially the world's leading wind tunnel laboratory on Jiading Campus. Port Gallo, Stile Bertone’s representative in China introduced the general situation of his corporation briefly and spoke highly of our achievements on automotive engineering and industrial design as well as our cooperation with Italian side. The two parties agreed to launch automobile design and research enterprise and all-round cooperation taking advantage of Tongji’s outstanding disciplines of automotive engineering and design, industrial foundation of Knowledge-Based Economic Circle around Tongji together with the traditional strength on automobile design of Stile Bertone. The two sides will further discuss the cooperation forms and sign the framework agreement. The relevant personnel from Automotive College and Sino-Italian College were also present at the meeting.

Before the meeting, Stile Bertone Delegation members visited Shanghai ground transportation wind tunnel laboratory on Jiading Campus and had a discussion with leaders of Tongji Automotive College and Department of Art Design.
