On the morning of March 17th, the University Vice-President Chen Xiaolong metUniversityof Illinois delegation consisted of Wolfgang Scholor, Deputy Director of Associate Provost’s Office, Susan Trippiedi, Director of Chinese Executive Management Training Section, International Project Research Center accompanied by Prof. Wang Huanian, General Representative of Chinese Training Program.
During the meeting, Chen Xiaolong introduced the general situation of Tongji from historical development to disciplinary setting. He said that internationalization is one of Tongji’s development goals. At present, Tongji has established long-term stable cooperative relationship with many European and Asian universities. Chen hoped to increase communication and understanding between the two sides and develop diversified forms of cooperation in some appropriate aspects through this visiting.
Wolfgang Scholor expressed gratitude for Chen’s warm reception. Later, he introduced the general situation of International Project Research Center inUniversityof Illinois.
The two sides exchanged ideas on short-term students exchange, management training and some other issues.
