On March 11th, the University President Pei Gang met Zhou Weikun, the University Board Member and Chairman of IBM Greater China Group and his delegation.
Firstly, Pei Gang expressed thanks to IBM Corp. and Mr. Zhou for their substantial support over the years, especially their great contribution in talents cultivating in the fields of telecommunication, management and software engineering. Pei introduced Tongji’s key disciplinary construction and some national and local key projects Tongji undertook. Mr. Zhou highly praised the achievements Tongji obtained in talents cultivating through cooperation between university and enterprises these years. He also expressed that IBM would develop intensive cooperation with the University on new disciplines construction, research, development and application of new technologies.
