On November 19th,Dr. Bernd Elsenblatter, honorary professor of Tongji University and present of German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) led a delegation to visit our university and gave special report to teachers and students in Tongji. Zhou jialun and Pei Gang met the guests with hospitality.
Dr. Elsenblatter introduced the policy orientation of German government to further intensify technical cooperation with China and expressed his wish to build strategic partnership with our university based on the ABT-S cooperative project. Pei Gang hoped that Tongji would establish a regional vocational education center in the framework of UNESCO-UNIVOC with GTZ. Dr. Gebhardt, Asia-Pacific Director of GTZ, Dr. Skala-Kuhmann, chief representative in China of GTZ and principals of Foreign Affairs Office and College of Vocational Education also attended the meeting.
After the meeting,Dr. Elsenblatter gave a lecture titledWachstum durchInnovation, Aufstieg durch Bildungin the conference hall of Sino-German College.
After the report, Zhou Jialun, Director of the University Administration Council hosted a banquet forDr. Elsenblatter and his delegation. They exchanged ideas on the strategic cooperation between the two sides.
