On the morning of November 13th, Zhou Jialun, Director of the University Administration Council met the delegation of the Spanish State Corporation for International Expositions (SEEI) led by its Chairman Javier Conde at Xuri Building. Ding Jiemin, the University President Assistant and Dean of the Architectural Design and Research Institute and the relevant office-holders of Foreign Affairs Office and Architectural Design and Research Institute were present at the meeting.
Zhou Jialun introduced Tongji’s participation in the 2010 World Expo to the guests simply and wished the Spanish venue great success on the Shanghai World Expo. Mr. Conde spoke highly of Tongji’s professional level in the field of architectural design and wished the construction of the Spain Venue success through the cooperation between the two sides. He also hoped that the experts specialized in architectural design of both sides would increase the communication and cooperation by means of international conference in the future.
SEEI was found in 1999, and was affiliated with Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This corporation was currently the proprietor of the Spanish venue project undertook by Tongji Architectural Design and Research Institute in the Shanghai World Expo. This time Mr. Conde came to China was to attend the official conference organized by Bureau of World Expo Coordination.
