Recently, Yao Tingting, a piano major of Grade 05 from Department of Music of Tongji University won the silver award for youth majors in the “Struer Cup” piano competition in Guangdong Province, and the top award in the semifinals of World Peace Award American International Piano Competition (WPAAIPC) in Asian and Pacific regions
The “Struer Cup” piano competition in Guangdong Province is one of the well-known and influential piano competitions in China. Yao’s talent revealed itself in the finals and made her a silver-award winner.
On August 25th, the semifinals of 2008 WPAAIPC in Asian and Pacific regions concluded in Macao, China. Yao, passing the keen competition and the judge of international examiners, won the top award with an excellent grade, and acquired the qualification of taking part in the finals hosted in Portland of the US.
