FreescaleHuadong Sectional Qualifying of the 3rdNational College Students Intelligence Car Contest was held in Gujing Stadium in Anhui Province from July 25 to 28th. This qualifying undertook by HefeiUniversityof Technology was hosted by the Teaching GuidanceSubcommittee forAutomation Specialty in High Education Institutions, Ministry of Education and was sponsored by Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. 4 delegation teams of Tongji all won the first prize.
159 4 delegation teams of 47 colleges and universities from 6 provinces and cities-Anhui, Jiangsu, Shnaghai, Zhejiang, Henan and Gansu, etc. participated in the contest. The participating teams were divided intoPhotoelectric Groupamong which 89 delegation teams andCCD Camera Groupamong which 70 delegation teams.
In order to prepare for this contest, in May and June this year, Tongji University held two Intelligence Car Contests and chose 4 delegation teams for this contest. They were RaceKing Team consisting of Liu Chu, Yin Chenjia and Hu Fengjian, Feike Team consisting of Sun Dongyuan, Fang Zhe, and Su Yingyi guided by Luo Feng fromCollegeof Automobile; and Tongzhou Team consisting of Zhou Yanmin, Chen Han and Zhao Yang, Gongji Team consisting of Jiang Weiping, Zhu Chenwen and Liu Chuan guided by Zhu Jin fromCollegeof Telecommunication.
According to the requirements of the contest organizing committee, the University will choose 2 delegation teams from the 4 to participate in the final of this contest held in Northeastern University.
