Tongji Students Won Gold Award in Nokia University Mobile Innovation Contest

2007—2008 Nokia University Mobile Innovation Contest that was hosted by Nokia (China) Research Center and lasted for half a year at last ended at Beijing on July 3rd. The participating team of our university was consisted of 5 graduate students and undergraduates instructed by Dr. Cheng Jiujun, a young teacher from Grid Technology Research Center of Computer Department. Their two works—WhoisThere Mobile Social Network and Mameo Shield Lightweight Network Security Monitoring System won the gold award of the Mameo Group and the 1st prize respectively. Their participating paper Making Friend with Mobile Social Network won the 1st prize of Soliciting Articles of Innovative Project.

This contest received more than 160 participating works altogether which came from more than 20 universities and research institutes including Qinghua University, Beijing university, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Computer Institute, software Institute, automation Institute and Graduate College), Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications, Nanjing University, Beijing Jiaotong University, and Tongji University, etc.
