On the morning of June 2nd, the University executive vice-president Li Yongsheng met the visiting University of North Carolina Delegation led by Joan F. Lorden, the academic dean of University of North Carolina, Charlotte at Yifu Building. Principals of Architecture & Urban Planning College and related people in the Foreign Affairs Office attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Ms. Lorden expressed her condolences for the victims in Sichuan earthquake and highly praised the effective and timely measures Chinese government at all levels had taken. Li Yongsheng introduced the great efforts and contribution our university had made for the disaster relief. Then the two parties introduced the basic situations of respective university and discussed the possible cooperation modes and fields in the future. Both parties agreed to start with exchange professors in the field of architectural design and Urban Planning and expand the depth and extent of the cooperation progressively.
After the meeting, the members of the delegation participated in the UNCC-KPF-Tongji Jointly Designing Activity at Architecture & Urban Planning College.
