Zhang Wenqing, a centenarian retired professor of Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Tongji University concerned about the progress report of earthquake relief on television these days. He was moved to tears several times on seeing the disaster the earthquake brought to people in Sichuan. He withdrew 5000-Yuan form his account, and made a contribution for the disaster area. He said affectionately, “My life was ensured in an old age and it’s my wish to make my contribution for people in disaster area”. As a frugal man, Mr. Zhang never wasted money for himself, but was so generous in this crucial time. He demonstrated Chinese people’s common desire ofworking with one mind in a joint combat the earthquake and disaster relief with his action.

Next year would be the 100^thbirthday of Mr. Zhang, and both the family members and department leaders were making preparations for the celebration of his birthday. However, Mr. Zhang thought donating money for disaster area instead of celebrating birthday was more meaningful. He added blessing for his 100^thbirthday with his benevolence.
