On May 26th, University of California, Davis Delegation consisting of Barry M. Klein, vice-president of University of California, Gretchen Kalonji, director of Department for International Development Strategy of the President Office, Wang Yunshi, director of Transportation Research Center of University of California, Davis, Prof. Andrew Burke visited the Jiading Campus of our university. They discussed with professors of Tongji about how to promote and intensify the communication and cooperation between the two parties.
The tow parties exchanged ideas on cooperation subjects focusing on theInternational Symposium of New Sources of Energythat would be held in Shanghai in November. They agreed to use all kinds of opportunities to promote the cooperative system between the two universities, especially our cooperation with UC Davis. The discussion also concerned with the Wenchuan Earthquake. Both parties expressed their desire to develop cooperation on anti-seismic research making use of their respective professional advantages.
After the meeting, members of the delegation were received by the University president assistant Yu Zhuoping, and visited Jiading Campus.
