Recently, Chinese university students’ team won 3 gold medals and 5 bronze medals in the 10thWorld University Badminton Championship held in Portugal. Wang Yihan from Tongji University was a leading player in the team. She won the gold medal of women’s single and the team gold medal with other teammates.
Athletes from 28 countries and regions competed for the gold medals of five items in this championship. Organized by Chinese University Sports Association, Chinese university students’ badminton team was formed by 12 excellent athletes transferred from Beijing Jiaotong University, Tongji University, HuaQiao university, University of Finance and Economics and Beijing Sports University.
