On the afternoon of April 9th, Mr. Chalit Manityakul Thailand Consul-general in Shanghai visited Tongji University. Vice-president Yang Dongyuan and Cai Jianguo, Dean of International Cultural Exchange College, Tongji University met the guests in Yifu Building.
During the meeting, Yang Dongyuan first introduced the international exchange situation of our university, and stated his view on the importance of exchanging students and cultural exchange between different countries. He said that lots of experiences were accumulated in the developing process of every country. We should cope with the challenges in the developing process together on the basis of mutual exchange and learning. Tongji was one of the universities of Thailand Premier Scholarship program to which Ministry of Education and university leaders attached great importance. Cai Jianguo introduced in detail the studying and living condition of Thailand students in Tongji. Mr. Chalit Manityakul expressed his satisfaction and thanks for the achievements the Thailand students have got and made proposals and suggestions for further communication between the two parties. Two Thailand students reported their studying life in Tongji in Cjinese.
