On the afternoon of April 7th, video seminar ofIUSS International Design Seminarwas held with the videoconference hall in Yifu Building of Tongji University as the main venue. Teachers and students in 5 universities from 4 countries (China, Italy, Poland, UAE) attended this videoconference.
Vice-president Li Guoqiang of Tongji University and Prof. Roberto Schmid, Dean of IUSS College, University of Pavia firstly delivered salutatory speech. Zheng Shiling, Academician in College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University and Prof. Bugatti from University of Pavia made brief academic reports respectively. Students of the 5 universities introduced their assignments in International Design Seminar at the branch meeting places and then the guiding professors made terse comments on their work.
With the participation of teachers, students and technical experts from 5 countries, by means of multi-site videoconference technical platform, this two-hour meeting achieved great success and fulfilled the target of mutual exchange and common progress. Meanwhile, it provided a new model for international academic activities.
