Our university’s 101-Anniversary was around the corner. Celebration workgroup was founded with Executive Vice-President Li Yongsheng and Vice-Secretary of the Party Committee Lu Minxun as group leaders. The first plenary meeting was held the other day.
According to the meeting, 101 School Anniversary celebration was a small one as a whole. However, this year was the first year in Tongji’s second centennial development in which all the university members were busy with planning for the future development and arrangement. Therefore proper anniversary celebration activities were significant.
According to the university Party Committee’s general schedule and requirements, the theme of this anniversary should be based onNew Century, New Beginningand two combination: to combine with 1stanniversary ofTongji Addressby Premier Wen Jiabao, to combine with the University’s working focusTalents Year, Academic Year, Quality Year.
Our university would hold a series of activities according to the preliminary principlesRich Contents, Simple Ceremony, Reinforce Propaganda, Emphasize Effect. Each college and department was encouraged to organize academic symposium and other activities.
