After joint evaluating selection by Chinese and German parties, graduate students Chen Fanyao, Feng Jiayun, Yang Xingang and Zhang Haichen from Sino-German College of the University were awarded German Presidential Scholarship of 2008 for excellent German and outstanding professional knowledge.

German Presidential Scholarship was set up in May 2007 when German president Koehler attended the University Centennial Anniversary. This three-year project subsidizes four students in Sino-German College every year to study in German for one semester or one year according to their different subjects.
