On June, 20th, the contract signing ceremony of SVW educational funds took place in the new resources center on Jiading Campus. A 21 delegation, including Dr. Neumann, a personnel board member, and the union president Osterloh were companied by the executive manager of home and abroad to attend the signing ceremony. The president of the university affair committee Zhou Jialun was on behalf of the university to give them a warm welcome, and extended the sincere thanks to SVW automobile corporation and Shanghai SVW for their consistent help including the 100th anniversary.

He hoped that today’s signing of SVW educational funds would be another important platform for culturing excellent graduates and promoting creative research. The vice president of Tongji university Chen Xiaolong, the vice executive president of SVW China investment corporation Zhang Ruixin, and Shanghai SVW executive manager Zhang Hailiang signed the contract.

After the signing ceremony, Dr. Neumann gave a speech to students in the automobile college which was entitled ‘the opportunities provided by SVW Corporation for young engineers’. The delegation also paid a visit to the relevant labs in the automobile college.

SVW Corporation has had close cooperation with our school for quite a long time. As early as 2000, it co-established the SVW-Tongji automobile research institute. Today’s SVW educational funds was contributed by SVW China investment corporation and Shanghai SVW, with each contribution one million RMB.
