May 22nd, opening ceremony of Tong Ji - Candence IC United Laboratory held in Micro-electronic Centre. Deputy Minister Wu Qidi, Vice-president Li Yongsheng, deputy executive officer of Candence Kevin Bushby attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Ms. Wu recalled on the hardships the Prof. Lin Zhenghao underwent when he came back to China. 5 years has passed, micro-electronics has developed greatly. President Li praised highly the development and growth of micro-electronic center. He said, “During the second phase of 985 programs, Tong Ji will invest millions in this field to reinforce the further development. IT subject, I hope, will become the third mighty subject courses after civil engineering and automobile.” Prof. Lin recalled the development of Center and holds the belief that with the support and guidance of school authorities and the cooperation with Candence, the Center will have a promising future.
