2007 National Alumni Conference, moderated by the vice-president of alumni association Huang Dingye, was held in the afternoon of May 20thin 12.9 Hall. More than 500 persons attended the meeting.
Secretary of Party Committee of Tong Ji Zhou Jialun delivered the opening speech. The Vice-president of Tong Ji and alumni association Zhao Jianfu gave a speech “create a new situation of alumni communications”, which introduced the preparation for Tong Ji centennial celebration, and the recent schedule of alumni association.
It is reported that there are in all 91 Tong Ji alumni associations, of which 11 are established overseas. To celebrate Tong Ji 100thanniversary, the alumni association played an active role. At the conference, 20 associations, such as Wuhan alumni association, Beijing alumni association, Shenzhen alumni association, Hong Kong alumni association, medical branch of alumni association and so on were award “most active alumni association”.
