On April 6th, Cadence Company presented Tong Ji complete IC software of CAD (worth of 130 million dollars) as a donation. The president Mr. Wan Gang and the CEO of Cadence Company attended the donation ceremony. Meanwhile, the Palladium hardware accelerator designed by the company was sold to Tong Ji Micro-electronic Center at cost.
The software package, which could cover the whole process of electronic design, is a design tool of prime quality, and the hardware accelerator could promote the flow joint to IC design software.
To develop 64 multi core CPU, the Micro-electronic Center has established cooperation and exchange relationship with a famous French research institute. This endowment will undoubtedly contribute to the exploration process.
