Recently, Vice-president Dongyuan Yang met with Prof. Roger Ghanem and Sami Masri of Civil Engineering Department of South California University in Yifu building. All the experts of the civil engineering college in our school attended the meeting.
They came here to sign the cooperation agreement representing the Civil Engineering Department of South California University. The agreement aims to form the cooperation mechanism in working on important projects, sharing resources and exchanging between teachers and students. Yang said that the signing of the agreement is the beginning of the cooperation and he hopes that both sides can work together to conquer serious global problems.
The American South California University was founded in 1880. Now it has 33000 students at school with 16500 undergraduates and postgraduates each. There are altogether 17 colleges. They have $4.3 million funds for research.
