2006 ACC-TongJi Cardiology Symposium

The delegation of American College of Cardiology (ACC) —— world-renowned research institute, led by Prof. Richard Conti visited Tongji on Nov. 1stand co-held a symposium on cardiology. The symposium was attended by physicians from hospitals in Shanghai and surrounding areas.

This symposium focused on the latest issues in the cardiologic field concerning the mechanism of Atherothrombosis, the application of CT to the diagnosis of cardiac diseases, the latest interpretation to the guide of hypertensive treatment, the current status of drug-eluting stent, the new developments in the management of atrial fibrillation and cardiac cell therapy.

Since the successful completion of 2005 Tongji Cardiology Symposium, this has been the third time for Tongji to render such a high-level academic conference. During the one-day symposium, experts and scholars delivered inspiring reports and speeches in the field of cardiology, covering scientific breakthroughs and clinic problems concerned by the multitude of doctors.
