Jointly sponsored by International Project Management Association (IPMA), China Project Management Study Committee and China Youth Association of International Project Management, and organized by Department of Construction Management and Real Estate of Tongji College of Economics and Management, the “Youth Development Forum of International Project Management 2006” was launched in Tongji on October 13thand 14th. The forum attracts over 90 young project managers, young scholars and students majored in project management. Tongji Vice President Li Guoqiang, Qian Fupei, vice president of IPMA, Mr, Miles Shepard, president of the Executive Board of IPMA, Mr, Otto Zieglmeier, vice president of IPMA attended the meeting.
It is the first time of the Youth Development Forum of IPMA to be held in China. It aims to discuss important issues and solutions of international project management, provide a platform for communication between global young professionals in project management, and promote their management ability and professional level. Moreover, the “Shanghai Manifesto by IPM Youth Association” announced on the forum is used as guideline for the study and work of project management youth.
