On the afternoon of Janauary 10th, the Foreign Affairs Working Conference was held in Yifu Building. As overseas students’ education becomes an integral part of Tongji’s internationalization strategy, the college will continue its investment in overseas students’ education to improve the teaching and living environment of overseas students and enhance quality of teaching, logistics and management.

Attendants to this conference include vice president Li Guoqiang, president assistant Dong Qi, leaders or staff responsible for foreign affairs, and faculties of Overseas Students Office. Li required in his speech that each college carry out more international programs with overseas students, to reach the objective of curriculum establishment, discipline development, mutual recognition of credits and degrees with foreign universities.

Dong Qi said that overseas students’ education will help Tongji own the frame of reference for global high education and get involved into the global environment of high education. She suggests that each college recruit all kinds of foreign students from various channels, make appropriate plans for their education program, and improve on curriculum settlement and teaching methodology.
