Recently, a cooperation agreement was signed between the School of Economics and Management of Tongji (SEM) and Fujian Broadcasting & TV Network Group (BTNG). According to the agreement, the two parties will establish a partnership and cooperate on the theme of "Smart Urban Co-Innovation". The aim is to strengthen R&D and business cooperation, promote the cultivation and industrialization of new technology research findings, and build an innovation enabling ecology following the concept of "research supporting industry and industry reinforcing research".
Based on the theoretical research results of SEM, especially from the large amount of research and case studies conducted by Professor ZHOU Xianghong and his team in related fields, both parties will make full use of core technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain, big data and cloud computing to promote the efficient superposition of product lines of Fujian BTNC and launch platform products for smart education, smart community and other fields.
The leader of SEM stated that Tongji has long played an active role in serving local governments through its leading technologies and rich experience in smart city development. The cooperation agreement signed between the two parties marks another positive venture by Tongji to boost win-win cooperation between the university and BTNG. It will help the two parties accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, share cutting-edge innovation resources, collaborate on talent cultivation and scientific research, and empower the development of "Digital Fujian".
Afterwards, Professor ZHOU delivered a lecture entitled "From Wired to Infinite, Building a New Benchmark for the Digital Economy".
The event was also attended by relevant experts and scholars from Tongji, heads of Nanjing County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, as well as leaders from Fujian BTNG Xiamen Branch, the Industrial Development Company and various Government departments.
