Three Tongji students are awarded the title of “Shanghai Skills Master”

Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Municipal Finance Bureau jointly announced Shanghai’s winners of the first national Vocational Skills Competition, as well as the enterprises and individuals who have made prominent contributions. The Human Resources and Social Security Bureau conferred the title as well as the certificates and medals of "Shanghai Skills Master" to 37 competitors who won the top five places in all of the skills events. This comprised those competitors who featured in the top three places in the team double events and those finishing in the top two of the triple events. Among them were JIAO Heming, a 2nd year doctoral student from Tongji’s College of Environmental Science and Engineering, and WAN Zhiyao and HUA Peiwen, two 2nd year master students from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Tongji. 

China’s first Vocational Skills Competition was held in Guangzhou from December 10 to 13, 2020. Students from Tongji won one gold and one silver medal in total: JIAO Heming won the gold medal in the water technology event and the team composed of HUA Peiwen and WAN Zhiyao won the silver medal in the Industry 4.0 event.
