The National Undergraduate Chemical Experimental Innovation Design Competition is a national competition for college students sponsored by the Chinese Chemical Society and the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Educational Institutions of the Ministry of Education. The competition aims to consolidate the basic chemical knowledge, theories and skills of college students, improve their ability to find, analyze and solve problems, cultivate their innovative consciousness and practical ability, establish a platform for the display and exchange of their innovative ability, and promote the practical teaching reform in China's higher education institutions. There are three types of competition projects: innovative experimental design, existing experiments improvement, and popular science experiments. The project evaluation is divided into two parts: network letter evaluation and on-site defense, and the evaluation panel is composed of well-known professors from universities across the country. The whole evaluation process adopts the double-blind mode and avoidance system to ensure fairness and impartiality. The national finals of the competition will be held in Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and the teams that won the first prizes in the preliminary round will compete for the finals.
