TheHuxi Campus is located at 500 Zhennan Road, Putuo District, Shanghai. It covers an area of 289,600 square meters, with a floor area of 241,300 square meters. There are 6,698 undergraduate adult students and 169 faculty and staff members. In 2000, Shanghai Railway University merged with Tongji University and became part of the latter. This campus is the campus of the former Shanghai Railway University.

College of Continuing Education (College of Online Education ) and Shanghai Tianyou Hospital are situated on this campus.

The future orientation of Huxi Campus: a campus with a focus on medicine and future technology. The School of Medicine which is at the Siping Campus will be relocated to the Huxi Campus in the near future.
